Prof. Andrew N. Hrymak

Andrew Hrymak (P.Eng, FCIC, FCAE) is Professor of Chemical and Biochemical Engineering, and co-Director of the Fraunhofer Innovation Platform for Composites Research at Western University. His research interests in polymer processing include modeling, design, and optimization, with a current emphasis on polymer composites. He previously served in the Department of Chemical Engineering at McMaster University from 1985-2009 where he was a member of the Centre for Computer-Aided Polymer Processing Analysis and Design (CAPPA-D). Hrymak has served as Editor-in-Chief of International Polymer Processing, Associate Editor of Computers and Chemical Engineering, President of the International Society of Coating Science and Technology (ISCST), and Chair of the Board of Directors of the Chemical Institute of Canada. He has also served on PPS conference organizing committees (PPS-7 Hamilton, 1991; PPS-26 Banff, 2010; Regional Chicago, 1996; Regional Toronto, 1998), many session organizing committees and as an international representative to the PPS for Canada.
